An Invitation to Sponsor the Field of Dreams Spring Benefit

Ten years ago, with faith, vision and dedication, the founders of the Spiritual Care Guild of Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles built the foundation of the organization tasked to raise the funds needed to provide around the clock spiritual care to the patients of Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and their families. To commemorate a successful first decade, on May 10, 2014, Spiritual Care Guild will host a spring benefit “Field of Dreams”, located at Southwestern Academy in San Marino.  Last year almost 600 people attended our event, and this year we are honoring 10 years of members, patrons, and sponsors that have made it possible to build the dream.

As an exceptional organization, we invite you to participate in this year’s event as one of our corporate sponsors.  Field of Dreams is an excellent opportunity to highlight your company’s dedication to the community, Spiritual Care Guild and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles in a fun and relaxing setting. Peanuts, popcorn, burgers, and hot dogs can all be enjoyed in the casual picnic-style atmosphere set among the cornfields, while taking in an under-the-stars showing of the classic movie “Field of Dreams”.

The Spiritual Care Guild raises funds to support spiritual care services for the 300,000 families that come through Children’s Hospital Los Angeles each year. Currently, Children’s Hospital Los Angeles is able to provide spiritual care 24 hours-a-day, seven days-a-week. While the hospital’s doctors and nurses work on healing the physical bodies of their young patients, the Spiritual Care Chaplains comfort the minds, warm the hearts and nourish the souls of these children, their families and the healthcare professionals looking after them during this fearful and uncertain time.

To date, the Spiritual Care Guild has successfully raised more than one million dollars towards its mission on behalf of this invaluable service at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.
